My Heart

Creating tantalizing food is an art form! I don’t knit, crochet or sew a very good quilt. I have never written a song nor sung in tune. I can’t even draw or paint a picture. My art studio is my kitchen! It is there my art mediums await me: spices, fresh produce, lean meats, and other intriguing ingredients. I love to play, create, and develop culinary masterpieces, or at least marvelous munchies! I work feverishly in the kitchen developing new recipes and perfecting old ones. The investment of my time and Rick’s dollars (teehee) are for one reason, to present a masterpiece of beauty to the One who has given me my culinary talents. I’m not sure where the Lord Jesus is taking me, nor what cuisine I’ll be stirring up next. I do know my cooking adventure is led by Him and for His purpose.

If you sit down with me, of course, I will serve you some delectable magnificent morsel, however, I won’t smack you on the head with a Bible nor convict you of your future destination. You will realize that my heart for people and Jesus Christ runs deep; it is the strength of my bones and the blood running through my vessels. Christ’s commission on my life is my motivation and call to action. Woven throughout every fiber of my being there is a thread that is attached to God’s heart. God’s stories are written on every chapter of my life because I look for His print. And with this being said, welcome to My Merry Cooking! It is my hope that that you will find the PERFECT BLEND ~ to inspire you in the kitchen and in your heart.

Lovingly, Merry Graham

Merry, I found you through reading Sandy’s blog . . . and was intrigued by “Merry Cooking.” Reading your “My Heart” page has touched me already. You see I can knit and quilt and I’ve done some wicked needlework in my past, but cooking for me is just plain old cooking — no contests, no art form. But you see what touched about reading about your heart is that it reminded me that God has gifted each one of us uniquely. What if we all cooked like Merry? Or knit like Sherrey? Or wrote like Sandy? Isn’t amazing how His hand has reached down and touch each of us in such unique and individual ways? Thanks for blessing me this day, and I wish His blessings on your day as well.

I’m just now getting to all your “writings”! Once again I am blown away by your “way with words”. It is truly a gift, and you use it wisely!
